Mark and Meghan Searle
Our Story
Mark walked out of his role as a church leader in September 2021. After leading in various churches since 2003, this was both a daunting and peaceful decision. It meant leaving a house and a community, and though we weren't sure where it would lead, we trusted that God had an adventure in store for us. We had already been working together as a team, and had sensed God's call to something with a broader reach. We had started to make plans, but those plans were suddenly accelerated when Mark found himself burnt out and could no longer remain in his role. He was done with church leadership and wanted to try something else.
Led by Meghan, we didn't want to be ex-church leaders who no longer attended church. So the following Sunday, we showed up at West Wilts Vineyard in Trowbridge. We worshipped and allowed the Holy Spirit to work in our heads and hearts for several weeks. Then the senior pastors announced that they were leaving. God took us on an extraordinary journey, turning our hearts around, and now we lead this amazing community part-time.
We have been brought to a spacious place, one that is full of ease and the presence of God and his fruitfulness. We have 20 years of church leadership experience and resources that we want to share that with others. Whether it's through online resources, teaching, speaking, or leading, our heart is to help you stand in the spacious place too.

Local Church Leadership
Meg and Mark have been Senior Pastors at West Wilts Vineyard since June 2022. We have a vision for a regional church with smaller churches covering the whole area.
Profession Theatre Practitioner
Meg has completed a Master's in Creative Arts in Education (Exeter) and has 30 years working in theatre and education. She has started and run her own theatre company as well as taught in schools, further education and university.
Communication and Coaching
Mark has a passion for good communication and has completed a post graduate certificate in Applied Positive Psychology and Coaching Practise (UEL). He is an occasional blogger: www.marksearle.org
Family
Mark and Meg met at the Central School of Speech and Drama, where they trained in professional acting and theatre. They have been married for 30 years this summer and have four children.
